Sound too good to be true? Afraid to hope that it might work? I don't blame you. The lousy
results you're getting from standard dry eye treatment would discourage anyone. I know - I've been there.
Please take a few minutes to read my personal dry eye story. I am going to go into a lot of detail
about how I developed this program over four years of desperate research. It seems almost a miracle
that I found something natural and healthy that worked. It worked for me, it can work for you.
My name is Robert Laken and I have been dealing with a dry eye condition for four years now. I am now
53 and married with three children. I live an active lifestyle with many responsibilities. Four years
ago, after an accidental exposure to chemical fumes in industrial paint (chemical burn), I was left with
a chronic dry eye condition. The exposure was only five minutes but somehow it triggered a shut down
in my eyes' ability to make and retain tears effectively. By the next day, I was in constant pain.
After a couple of weeks of chronic eye pain, I wondered how I could go on. It was very painful and
very depressing.
There are many causes for dry eyes but the damage resulting is similar: The Lacrimal and Meibomian
glands are not working together to produce enough moisture to lubricate your eyes. Whether it is chemical
exposure, Lasik surgery, allergies, auto-immune, old age, Sjogren's Disease or other causes, the result is
the same: not enough lubrication for the eyes.
My story is not unique:
| Millions of people suffer from some form or degree of dry eyes resulting
from many causes. In my case, it only took a few minutes to damage the tear function of my eyes,
seemingly forever. The "Dramatic Natural Dry Eye Relief" book recounts my exhaustive search for relief.
It is my story and discovery of an alternative way to treat dry eyes--a natural approach with specific
unique discoveries that has worked for me. I honestly feel like it saved my life. The improvement was
that dramatic. |
One year after my eye injury I still faced daily eye pain mainly in the form of a painful sensation
of sand being in my eyes. I was desperate for a dry eye solution. You almost feel like shouting
"my eyes are dry!" in hopes that someone will have the answer. Almost every minute of every day I
was aware of the pain. At first I spent a lot of my time seeing ophthalmologists and optometrists.
I came to realize that when it comes to dry eyes, doctors don't have much to offer that really works.
After a year of this I was absolutely fed up with the ineffective
treatment methods of ophthalmologists when it comes to dry eye syndrom. For me, it was simply a losing
program. I found that in this area of medicine, the available drugs often do more harm than good. Anyone
with chronic dry eyes has their own horror stories to tell. |
Here are some of the treatments doctors gave me:
- Dry eye plugs or "punctal plugs" to plug the tear ducts...very painful-I lasted a week with
no improvement.
- Several antibiotic treatments orally and through gel antibiotic eye drop. I experienced
no benefit and it took me eight days to get the horrible petroleum gel completely out of my eyes.
- Steroid eye drops, a common dry eye medication. No benefit. I quit after I read horrible
stories from others on the web about the damage done over time by this drug to other sufferers. I felt
lucky to escape before permanent damage was done.
- Three prescription eye drops and then ten over-the-counter eye drops tried. All failed
to provide much relief. Most of these drops were either so watery they did nothing or they were so
"glue-like" that they only irritated my eyes more.
- One operation to remove a "chilazian" (large boil on eyelid), common among dry eye
sufferers because the oil glands don't drain properly. I would have had more operations for subsequent
chilazians if I hadn't found a natural way to cure them.
- Dry eye prescription for "Restasis" which I researched on the web and found several testimonials of
dry eye suffers saying how ineffective it was for them at relieving dry eyes - and painful every time they
put it in their eyes. Others said it seemed to help at first and then mysteriously would stop working.
The main ingredient is "Cyclosporin," a drug used in organ transplants to prevent organ rejection.
Even the manufacturer states that it is not a cure and only stands to help maybe 25% of those who use
it. In addition, patients are told that they should be willing to suspend judgment (no matter the
pain of taking it) for at least three to six months since that is how long it takes to see if it
will work for you. Also, Restasis has only been on the market since 2004 and there are no long-term
studies on the drug. What surprise will we learn down the road? Guinea Pig anyone? Most dry eye
sufferers report that their eyes burn with almost every application of Restasis. What are our
eyes trying to tell us? I see Restasis as a last resort. I am sure it does help some dry eye
sufferers but concern about this drug is justified given its very inconsistent results.

Finally I had enough:
There were more "treatments," but you get the idea. I was frustrated, but also liberated. I started
doing my own research and experimentation. I spent hours each day and night for months looking for
alternative treatments. I tested and experimented with dozens of possible cures. Most of them
didn't work. My business started to suffer but I was obsessed. I was in a lot of pain. I told my wife
about the pain but even with her I didn't tell how bad it really was. After a while you hate to burden
your family with more complaints.
Through my research, it became obvious that focusing only on the eyes was not enough. The body is a
holistic machine. Each part interacts with other parts. To get a workable treatment plan I would have
to study my whole body.
I was after a natural approach:
First, I studied in detail how the eye actually worked. It was fascinating and also depressing. The eye
is fantastically complex. So many functions have to work perfectly or you are in big trouble. I
started to think a lot about the food nutrients that the body needs to be healthy.
Maybe I wasn't
"feeding" my eyes properly? Others have been exposed to the industrial chemicals that caused my
problems and they don't all get dry eyes. Was my body prone to this through a deficient diet? Did the
chemical exposure "tip" me over the edge causing my eyes to react? Why do some people NOT have dry eyes
from Lasik surgery and others end up suffering for years? I decided the answer was connected to the
overall nutritional predisposition of the eyes in the first place. A nutritional approach seemed the
way to go. I would trust my body to lead me.
Before I found three things that worked, I tried so many natural treatments that did not work:
- My first experiment was with onions. Onions cause tears. I thought maybe massive exposure to
dozens of smashed onions could really get the tears flowing and clear out any clogged tear glands. I put
them all in a pot and held my face over it for an hour. Logical theory - it didn't work - except to make my
wife and I laugh our heads off.
- Hot compresses directly on eyes. This is one of the most common treatments recommended on
websites. Most people use a hot wet wash cloth and put it directly over the closed eyelids, the idea
being to warm the oil glands in the eyelids so they will flow better and lubricate the eye. This can be
helpful for a dry eye condition called Blepharitis. For me it was soothing but only gave me a few
minutes of relief. Another article said to use a microwaveable rice sack. I bought one. These
sustain heat much longer and theoretically melt the oil glands more. I tried this. As a result, I
had one of the biggest scares of my life. A few minutes after this treatment, I was reading a magazine
and started to notice the photographs were twisting and changing shapes! Then I saw twinkling
lights all over the room. What's happening to my vision! I searched my brain for a logical
explanation for what was happening. Am I loosing my vision-my mind? A frightening experience.
After 15 minutes (which seemed like an eternity), my normal vision slowly came back. I was so
relieved. I hoped it wouldn't relapse. I quickly concluded that it had to be caused by the hot bag
treatment I had done a few minutes prior. Turns out this phenomenon has a name: "optical (or ocular)
migraine." It occurs when the tiny blood cells of the eye are disturbed. Wow. The eye can be
so sensitive. I stopped the heat treatments and the optical migraine didn't come back. I believe
that I probably kept the hot rice bag over my eyes too long. However, the vision scare was so
bad that I never did it again. I found that cold treatments of a minute or so (cold compress)
were better but still only gave a few minutes of relief.
|
- Omega 3 supplements. I tried large doses in the form of fish oil and special dry eye
vitamins. This did not provide actual increased eye moisture - it's probably more like dry eye prevention
for those with mild dry eyes. Omega 3 for the eyes is important but must be taken differently to be
effective for severe dry eyes (this is discussed in the book).
- Wheat grass juice. I juiced several ounces every day for four months. I would drink it
in the morning because it's said to digest better on an empty stomach. It seemed to help a little bit
but in the end I realized that mostly it was just giving me bad stomachaches. It didn't work.
- Massive doses of Vitamin C. I got up to about 12,000 int. units and started to have diarrhea.
It didn't work to relieve dry eyes.
- I went to a herbalist to create a special anti-inflammation herb formula that I
would put directly in my eyes. Turns out she didn't strain it enough. When I put it in my eyes it was
like pouring a thousand tiny needles into my eyes. It took days of rinsing my eyes constantly to
recover. This was so freightening I honestly thought I had further damaged my eyes forever.
- I didnt give up on the herbal approach. I read about an herbal eye drop of cayenne pepper.
It was meant for cataract treatment. I hoped it would work for dry eyes...but cayenne pepper...in my
eyes?! The testimonials for cataracts were impressive. I went for it. Ouch!!!! I did that for two
weeks. Did it help? I thought it did but I finally realized it really wasn't working.
- I read about acupuncturists treating dry eyes. They said dry eyes were directly connected
to the liver--had to get the "Chi" up and running in the liver and connect it to the eyes. I went for
it. Three treatments a week at $65 each. After two weeks it seemed like I was getting a little bit
of relief. I went to him for four months. It seemed like my eyes were a little better but it was
hard to tell. I got tired of the cost and asked him for details on needle placement and decided to
do it myself to myself (amazingly, he gave me a practice doll and showed me where to place the
needles!). I purchased the needles at an acupuncture school. At first I asked my wife to place the
needles, but she said "NO WAY!" Believe it or not, I treated myself for eight months almost every
day until I had to admit that what little relief I got was very inconsistent. It just didn't work
very well.
- I read about the Raw Food diet and tried it for dry eyes. It seemed to help a little but I
wasn't sure. The diet was so restrictive that I had problems staying on it. There was no clear
benefit. I read about the medicinal effects of fermented foods. I actually developed quite a
taste for "kim-chi" and sauerkraut. My kids would cry, "Yuk, what's that horrible smell?" My wife
would calmly say, "That's Daddy's dinner." I put them through all that and it didn't work either. I
tried easily fifty or sixty other diet combinations based upon my research. I developed many clues but
no firm answer.
- I tried many other things but you get the idea. I was relentless. My wife was supportive but
you can imagine--it took a toll.
The Three Breakthroughs
1st Breakthrough:
| After one and a half years of research and experiments I had
my first breakthrough. I was browsing the vitamin section of a health food grocery near
where we lived. My dry eyes suddenly were focused on a small bottle of eye drops that looked
interesting because the label was so simple. It was a totally natural product. As I studied
the bottle, the sales person sidled up to me and said that that was the last bottle. She
said the store would no longer carry the product. She said it was a shame because she had
at least one customer who said they were the only drops he could find that really helped
his cataract problem. Could it also help dry eyes? I bought the bottle. I had been
searching for an effective eye-drop ever since my eye injury. I finally gave up and
started using plain water-- which worked better than all the commercial eye drops.
But still, water was far from adequate. |
I was excited and also concerned about this mysterious bottle. Was it safe to use? I
decided to research the drops on the internet. I managed to find a phone number for the
manufacturer and by pure luck, the owner of the company answered the phone (I found out
later he almost never did). We had a great conversation. He explained in detail to me
why the ingredients of his drops worked. He said he had sold the drops for years and had
many testimonials of improved eye health. I researched the natural ingredients and how
they worked in the body and it totally made sense!
I decided to try the drops right away:
The manufacturer told me that the drops were so safe they could be taken as often as once or
twice an hour. After a few hours of applications, I realized something good was happening.
My eyes felt more relaxed.
These drops were better than ANY others that I had tried. The
gritty feeling of sand in my eyes was cut in half. I felt better. Still, I didn't
dare get my hopes up. I told myself to wait until tomorrow and see if the benefits continued.
They did. It wasn't a cure for dry eyes but it was definite relief-far better than anything
else I had tried. And I understood why it was working. It was working with my eyes not
against them like the other drops. I felt energized to redouble my research. This was a
piece of the relief puzzle. I allowed myself to hope I could make even more progress.
2nd Breakthrough:
There are three areas that are the main culprits which cause malfunctions involved in a dry eye
condition. First, is a reduced secretion of tears from the
Lacrimal Glands. Second, is the
experience of rapid evaporation of tears (what little you are producing) from the
surface of
the cornea. Third, is reduced oily secretions from the
Meibomian Glands.
I was suffering malfunctions in all three areas. For some people it is clearly one area
malfunctioning the most. The tests I had confirmed that my mucin production was down as well
as my tear function. Dry spots were clearly visible on my cornea when tested by the
ophthalmologist. I asked my doctors over and over
why my glands were not secreting more oils
and tears? "We have no idea," was the answer. Clearly, I was on my own.
I kept picturing my glands in my mind and wondering what was wrong. In general, it is
useless to make more tears if they don't have the proper oil secretions to keep them on the
eye. By definition, glands "secrete" liquids, oils, hormones, etc. I didn't realize how many
glands we have in our bodies until I started to study it. It's amazing, but without these
secretions we would literally slowly dry up and die.
My next thought was, of course, "how do you stimulate these glands to secrete more!" Could
I be lacking a certain vitamin or mineral? I decided to try several mega-supplements with
all the vitamins and minerals included. I did this for a few months with no results. I
decided it had to be a nutrient or an herb. Maybe my tear glands were starving for the right
nutrients? This made sense to me.
I tried dozens of possibilities:
Unfortunately, as I started to research this question, no clear answer emerged. There were
many possible substances that "might" work to secrete more from glands. Once again, I was
in experimental mode.
I tried dozens of possibilities until one night I googled an obscure
reference that indicated exactly what I was looking for. It was a very powerful nutrient
grown outside of the United States-a safe and natural food. It went into detail about how
this food was known to be a powerful secreting agent for the human body. I decided to try
it immediately. I ate a little and then I ate a lot. Nothing.
|
I next asked: How could I increase the concentration of this ten-fold without getting a
stomachache? I read about how boiling nutrients into a tea can serve to significantly
increase potency and dosage. I started to drink a quart a day. My eyes felt a little better.
I experimented with potency--making the tea stronger and stronger. After a couple of days,
there was no question that my eyes were moister. It was definitely working. For the first
time in two and a half years the sensation of sand in my eyes was almost gone for hours at a
time. If I stopped drinking the tea, the gritty feeling in my eyes slowly came back. Then
I would start drinking the tea again and the gritty feeling went away. I found that it
didn't matter if I drank the tea cold or hot so I was able to make several quarts at a
time and keep them in the refrigerator. Combined with my special eye drops, I experienced
truly dramatic relief. I drink about twelve ounces in the morning and about twenty
ounces more throughout the day. It has been over a year and a half and it still works.
|
3rd Breakthrough:
You can help retain additional moisture for your eyes by using special eye wear. It was a
year before I realized, on my own, that special eyewear might make a difference. It is
amazing to me that ophthalmologists and optometrists rarely recommend special eyewear for
dry eye sufferers. Can special eyeglasses help retain moisture? YES! They make a huge
difference. When you go outside, dry eyes need more protection against wind, debris in the
air and other airborne substances. The glasses must create a moisture chamber so evaporation
is lessened. A couple of optical companies have added some moisture retaining models to their
lines. I tried them all. Most of them didn't work very well and they looked like big swimming
goggles. I finally found a brand that worked and looked good.
Also, for indoors it is important to have glasses with moisture chambers that look
normal-not to wear all the time but when in front of the computer and other times when eye
strain is apparent or you need to wear your normal eyeglasses.
You will learn how to create an almost invisible moisture chamber for normal wire frame glasses:
There is a way to add an almost invisible moisture chamber to most wire rim glasses. This is
truly a breakthrough because most dry eye sufferers hate to look like they are wearing swim
goggles when they walk into a room. In the book you will receive illustrated step by step
instructions on how to create these moisture chambers for yourself. Eyewear with a proper
"moisture chamber" helps so much.
In addition to the three breakthroughs, I made important changes to my general diet that
helped a great deal. The book details my personal diet. Diet can make a huge difference to
dry eyes.
The difference for me now feels like a miracle:
The difference between then and now is a minor miracle. Most of the time I totally forget
about my eyes for hours at a time. You have to have chronic dry eyes to know how wonderful
that is. I simply don't have the pain I had before. I can handle this now. My eyes are
retaining moisture - there is no question about that. I sit in front of the computer for
hours at a time now and it's OK. I feel confident and in control concerning my eyes. I
know what to do to manage my dry eyes. I am working with my eyes now in a natural way.
If I stop doing the program, after a couple of days my dry eyes come back, not the pain
just the dryness. I am not claiming this is a complete cure. However, the program is easy
to do and benefits my entire body, not just my eyes. I have used this three-step program
for one and a half years and it has continued to work.
What would you do if you were free of chronic dry eye pain?
- You would be so much happier.
- You wouldn't be prone to depression with that hopeless feeling.
- You would be able to watch television without eye pain.
- Working in front of the computer for hours would be possible again.
- You could go to a picnic and forget about your eyes for hours at a time.
- You would feel more hopeful for the future.
- You wouldn't feel like you were just hanging on.
- You'd feel like you had some control over your dry eyes...
- and therefore control over your life.
My dry eyes happened differently-will this program work for me too?
Yes, it should. This is a holistic program that addresses the natural health of the eye. It
produces noticeable results within a week-sometimes the first day. It is natural and safe.
It can be used in conjunction with any other medical treatments for dry eyes. I am aware
that there are numerous variations of dry eye conditions. It can seem as if yours is
unique, but again, the result is the same:
The eyes are not producing enough moisture to
lubricate the eyes.
The price of the book is modest and you are protected with a
60-day 100% money-back
guarantee. You will not be waiting around forever wondering if it is working. If you follow
the steps exactly and you don't see significant improvement within a week or two, e-mail us
and you will get a prompt refund.
There is no risk and you may see an enormous benefit.
This is a dry eye rescue...
With all my heart, I am asking you to consider a natural
approach to caring for your dry eyes. It is my firm belief that the medical program for dry
eye management is hurting many sufferers and for some - making matters worse. The drugs and
treatments used may be in many cases damaging the eyes further, making it much harder for the
eyes to heal and function again naturally.
You have nothing to lose by trying a natural approach. Save yourself the years of
research and experiments I went through. I've put it all in my special book. I will guarantee
the results. You have only to ask for your money back within 60 days and you have lost
nothing....but think of what you might gain! |
